About Cargill
Cargill provides food, agricultural, financial and industrial products and services to the world. Together with farmers, customers, governments and our communities, we help people grow and develop, drawing on our expertise and more than 155 years of experience. Every day, our 155,000 employees in 70 countries are committed to providing the world with food, reducing our impact on the environment and improving the society in which we live and work.
One of our sites in the Netherlands is located in a picturesque town at the Dutch-Belgian border - Sas van Gent.
We use natural raw materials - maize and wheat - to produce various products. These include starch, glucose and alcohol for food and/or pharmaceutical industries and also for non-food applications – production of paper and cardboard. The bran (maize and wheat husks) and the water (left after soaking the grain) are reused to make nutritious feed for livestock. In this way, nothing goes to waste!
We generate our own energy and purify our water to make the operations sustainable and reduce the impact on the environment.
Our production site has 350 employees divided over various functions. We are proud of our open culture and One-Team commitment!
